You Know it’s Bad When…

October 3, 2010

…the “crazies” that define the comments section of the AJC have changed their tune.

Leading up to this point, everyone pointed to the “Fire Richt” crew over there as the fire-and-brimstone folks that had no grip on the reality of the Bulldog football program. I don’t have to tell you how ridiculous most of the comments were.

Fact of the matter is, however, that we ARE where they said we would be. I’m not saying they predicted AJ’s suspension or any of the weak spots we now see, but the fact is that the sky really is falling. Now, the comments over there that seem the most random and over-the-top are the ones that are predicting we go 9-3 and win the SEC East. It’s strange to believe that there are people out there that really believe that. (i.e. here.)

Oh how the turn tables.

In good times and bad, I’m always a bulldog. Just who knew how bad the times would be.

As always, thanks for stopping by, Bulldog Nation.

    Predicted AJ Green’s suspension ?

Obviously, I don’t have to point out to you that both the Macon.com and AJ-C Bulldog blogs carried it when AJ said that he didn’t ever go to Miami in his lifetime, that he was deflecting the media blitz on him; and, that it was a lie and smokescreen because he did not have to be in Miami to ruin this football team, didn’t have to be in Miami to turn his back on his teammates, and that did not have to be in Miami to have illegal benefits. That was what the NCAA was investigating – illegal benefits.

In addition, it was noted from the middle of last season or so, that AJ Green (and Knowshon Moreno and Matthew Stafford) made no difference in the losses to the 3 good teams we played 2008, giving up 31 to nothing at halftime, 42 consecutive and 29 consecutive points losing all 3 games. AJ Green made no difference in UGA losing 5 games last year. And, he made no difference in us losing the game Saturday, as also was pointed out prior to kick-off.

Herschel, sir, we are 39-18 after the 2005 season through this morning. We fired Jim Donnan for being 40-19.

We are 20-15 vs SEC after 2005 season through this morning.

We are 10-11 vs SEC East after 2005 season thru today.

We’re # 22 team in America after 2005 thru today in won / loss.

We’re # 2 in nation in Arrests / Suspensions after 2005 to now.

Our recruits are not on the team

We continue to play favorites with those we do have

We have a coach who has proven he cannot hire a coaching staff

As for the weak spots you say were not pointed out :

Caleb King has been exactly as pointed out

OL has been completely as pointed out

That we would not be able to run the ball was pointed out

So was no QB prepared 2006 lost 4, 2009 lost 5 & now 2010 same.

After 2009, was said we would have 1 a month arrest / suspended

When you look at the team honestly, it all was very clear.

Sorry you missed it and are surprised now.

In good times and bad, you can always count on the AJC’s comment section to be completely batshit. I don’t see why they can’t employ a filter of some kind. I’ve read plenty of other online newspapers from around the country and none of their comment sections are nearly as nasty or basically filled with comments that have absolutely nothing to do with what the author of the article wrote. Some things will never change.
